Student Disclosure on Professional Licensure
STUDENT DISCLOSURE ON PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE
Hope College of Arts and Sciences (HCAS) offers programs that lead to professional licensure or certification. Any student enrolling in a program at HCAS must be aware of the required credentialing or licensing requirements necessary for employment in the field.
HCAS does not offer a pre-licensure LPN or Registered Nurse (RN) nursing program. The RN to BSN Completion program is a post-licensure program: applicants must already hold an active, unencumbered RN license as a condition of admission. This program does not prepare students for initial RN or LPN licensure and does not lead to eligibility for the NCLEX examination; it builds upon a student’s existing RN licensure toward completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
For HCAS programs that lead to licensure or certification, program curricula meet applicable state educational requirements for licensure or certification in the state of Florida. This does not apply to the RN to BSN Completion program, which does not lead to initial licensure or certification. HCAS makes every effort to ensure that information about educational requirements for licensure or certification is current; however, state requirements may change.
